Victorinox Swiss Army Watches
May 26, 2010
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Victorinox Swiss Army. All opinions are 100% mine.
Watches are becoming less and less prominent with the advancing of cell phones. New studies find that there are 10 billion cell phone subscriptions in the world which means roughly 150% of people have cell phones. That is a lot of people with multiple phones–sadly in this day and age watches have lost their glory of being a necessary mobile timepiece to cell phones. Regardless watches are far more classic and cost the same if not much more than a smartphone. If you are in the market for a new watch you can’t beat precision Swiss analog quartz movement found in Victorinox Swiss Army watches. My favorite is the Chrono Classic Guilloche which features; a Sapphire crystal w/anti-reflective treatment, stainless Steel case with guilloche dial, luminous hands and hour markers, a chronograph, engraved tachymeter scale, date calendar, and a stainless steel bracelet.
If you still think that your cell phone is more adequate than a watch consider this; Watches are water resistant unlike cell phones. Watches add classic style to your wardrobe. Cell phones become outdated almost every year due to advances in mobile technology. Watches can be passed down generation to generation and still look good. Imagine your great grandpas cell phone as a family heirloom (I know you wouldn’t use it). Qua de L’Ile
March 26, 2009
The Qua de L’Ile is a new brand of luxury – the impossible to counterfeit accessory. Given the commonality of knock-off brands in the global marketplace, this watch gives the conspicuous consumer the reassurance that no-one can spend less than $12,000 (US dollars) and be able to call this this timepiece their own. The Swiss luxury watchmaker Vacheron Constantine, purveyor of these impossible to replicate masterpieces, uses security features commonly found in currency like images that can only be revealed by ultraviolet light, minute inscriptions, and high security inks.

De Grisogono Meccanico DG
June 2, 2008
Visually the De Grisogono Meccanico DG has 2 time-zones, one analog and the other digital. The amazing thing is that this watch is not digital, it is a series of 651 mechanical components. The numbers are formed by 23 cams that are connected to gears and a synchronization system. This could be the most complicated watch in the world, and was created for the 50th birthday of De Grisogono. The Meccanico DG is available in four styles (red gold, titanium-and-gold, titanium-and-platinum and titanium-and-rubber). Unfortunately only 177 will be made, no word on price. See more photos.
EP2502 Cellphone Watch
May 6, 2008
It seems like less and less people are wearing wrist watches. We all know cellphones are to blame. Most people say they don’t need a watch because their phone has the time on it. Now the tables have finally turned. The waterproof EP2502 ($299) incorporates a 1.3-inch OLED touchscreen, a 2-megapixel camera, and tri-band phone on a watch. It will give you about three hours of talk time and around 160 hours of standby.
