MuchoTE Tequila

muchote_tequila_bottle_sm.jpgAfter we heard about the debut of MuchoTE Tequila we wanted to try it. Luckily for us we got our hands on a bottle before it was on the market. Tequila can be a bit deceiving when it only costs about $30, we kept telling ourselves not to be fooled by this simple dark brown bottle and yellow label. We have all been there after a night of drinking too much tequila and feeling it the next day, so we were very cautious. The first smell of this strong tequila gave us the chills. Then we did the traditional SALT-SHOT-LIME and ah ha… We did not expect it to be so smooth. It is not very common for a bottle of tequila to taste like one that is twice its price. Our next shot we decided to skip the salt and lime and drink it the old fashioned way. It is simply delicious, MuchoTE was very easy to drink and tasted of very mild agave, with hints of smoke, and caramel undertones. If you can’t handle tequila shots, it taste very good in a margarita as well.

In the end we were very surprised. MuchoTE cut out all the costs to deliver a hand made ultra-premium tequila at an unbeatable price. The taste of authentic Mexican tequila from Jalisco, Mexico is unmatched. MuchoTE captures the regions authenticity with its fine taste and easy to drink qualities; making this one of my favorite tequilas for years to come. That is why we have decided to score it a perfect 10 out of 10. If you are a tequila fan, a bottle of MuchoTE is absolutely worth a try.

Congratulations to MuchoTE for winning 2008 Gold Medal and 2008 Judge Favorite at the Agave Spirits Challenge!
