Dos Lunas Tequila

After tasting Dos Lunas Tequila we were amazed that it was one of the smoothest tequilas we have ever tried. We sampled the tequila in a variety of margaritas and bloody marias, however due to its exceptionally smooth taste we preferred it straight up on the rocks or served in the form of a shot (the way tequila is meant to be enjoyed).
During this review we had the pleasure of tasting both the Silver and Reposado tequila offerings from Dos Lunas. We successfully found the perfect way to serve the tequila; slightly chill the tequila but the trick was to not over cool the product as most of it flavor seemed to be lost the longer we chilled it.
We decided to spread out the tasting into two separate occasions, allowing for us to get a clear taste of both tequilas we sampled. The first one we tried was the Reposado. Normally Reposados tend to have a slightly strong taste but as I stated earlier, we found that it went down extremely smooth. Much smoother than many of the premium tequilas that we have tasted in the past, in addition the Reposado had a great flavor that had you asking for more of the tequila and not a lime or chaser.
Soon after we sampled the Silver variant of the Dos Lunas tequila, we found that we were equally impressed with the quality and taste of the Silver. The Silver seemed to have a cleaner feel, along with a much more prominent taste of agave. In the end the decision was split on which tequila was our favorite. Both are fantastic choices for premium tequila’s and it all boils down to personal preference on whether you like the bolder taste of the Reposado or the cleaner taste of the Silver.
In the end we at I Wish I Had This would highly recommend both of these tequilas to anyone who is in the market for premium tequila, unfortunately availably is somewhat limited at the time but if you can find it you won’t be disappointed.
