Super Smash Brothers: Brawl

Published by Nintendo, Super Smash Bros is back with its third edition. Super Smash Bros. Brawl was just made available for Wii this March and will have you even more addicted than the last two games. Not only did they introduce some conventional rules and tactics that other fighting games don’t have, they also indulge you with plenty of challenges, a great storyline, and more characters to choose from. You can play by yourself, or with up to four friends. Don’t fret if you don’t have any because the game even supports online battles! New LED Boomerang

Ironically enough it took an American by the name of Eric Darnell to put an entirely new spin on something purely Australian. Mr. Darnell recently demonstrated his newest prototype, a boomerang with LED lights at a recent interview by Popular Mechanics. The 62-year-old boomerang aficionado created a design with LED lights that brighten up the night sky to show the exact flight path of the boomerang and allow for some very interesting long exposure photography.

Earlier this week the LEGO brand celebrated their 75th anniversary. We think it is only right to honor their birthday by featuring this Silver Brickwall LEGO Ring ($80). Made of sterling silver it features a 2 x 2 pattern. The ring also comes with 6 colors that you can snap on to the ring. I would put a LEGO guy on my ring.

PC Game Trailer Round Up

There are two game trailers that caught my eye this week, which are: Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.

The Quake Wars is a trailer composed entirely of gameplay footage, from a third person pov. The game looks very much like Battlefield 2, what makes it different is that it takes place in the not to distant future. This game is going to blow Halo2 and Battlefield 2142 out of the water for sure. id Software never fails to deliver when it comes to their Quake series. No word yet on when this game will be released. Check out the trailer below:

Command & Conquer 3 is currently in development at EALA, it will ship in 2007 for Windows PC. Here is an excerpt from an April 20, 2006 press release:

“Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars combines fast-paced gameplay with new ways to tell a story in an RTS game,” said Mike Verdu, Executive Producer at EA Los Angeles (EALA). “We’re building a next generation Command & Conquer game that is true to the spirit of this classic franchise, but is updated with state-of-the-art visuals, added strategic depth, and gameplay innovations that will move the genre forward. I am very excited to be working on this amazing game.”
