Purus Vodka

January 15, 2008
purus-vodka.jpg

Normally whe you hear the words “Premium Organic Vodka” the company Anheuser-Busch is probably the last thing you that would come to mind but the new Purus Vodka from Anheuser-Busch is clearly a premium vodka. Purus Vodka is made from 100% organic Italian wheat and is distilled five times then refined through a charcoal filtration process for a “distinctively clean, smooth, velvety sweetness” resulting in an a smooth 80 proof vodka. In addition the bottle itself is extremely Eco friendly as its a 100% recyclable bottle and features a tree-free paper label, safe soy-based inks, water-based adhesives, and an environmentally sustainable cork closure. However the best part is that Purus Vodka retails for only $35

Hennessy Ellipse Cognac

November 9, 2007
hennesycognacrcg.jpg

This one of the most beautifully designed bottles I have ever seen and yet the bottle isn’t even the best part. The new Hennessy Ellipse Cognac is a combination of 7 generations of master blenders that dates back to the 1800′s including the the very first Hennessey master blender Jean Fillioux. All this history means that the Hennessey Ellipse Cognac is masterpiece, giving “an intensely complex bouquet with hints of candied fruit, wild roses and rancio.” Price for all this history doesn’t come cheap at $7,000 (£3,350.00) [via]

Twist ‘n Shot

Jello Shots are fantastic for almost any occasion in college but its is always a pain in the ass to get all that Jello out of those tiny paper cups. The new Twist ‘n Shot is a perfect solution, they are reusable plastic cups with a built in plastic lining that scrapes the Jello from the sides and ensures that all the alcoholic goodness gets delivered in one shot. Best part is that the price is fairly reasonable at only $13.99 for 20 cups

Dos Lunas Grand Reserve

November 7, 2007

Dos Lunas has announced their launch of an extra añejo tequila, Dos Lunas Grand Reserve ($2,500). They are setting new standards for luxury tequila as they have made the worlds first commercially available tequila to be aged over 10 years (in sherry oak casks). The tequila is bottled in hand-blown, individually numbered Baccarat decanters. The luxury does not stop there; each bottle is housed in an ebonized wood box with an accompanying crystal stopper, sterling silver key and necklace. If the Grand Reserve is too pricey for you wait until next year (2008) when they unveil their fourth tequila, Dos Lunas Añejo. My guess is that the Añejo is not going to cost as much as the Extra Añejo. Press Release.

Absolut Disco

While I might not be a fan of Disco, I am a huge fan of Absolut and their new Absolut Disco Gift Pack. The best part of the gift pack is the radical design of the bottle. The 1-liter bottle of Absolut Vodka features 1,000 reflecting prisms to simulate the look and feel of a genuine disco ball. The gift set itself is supposedly a clamshell design that opens to showcase the bottle while also including a loop for hanging the bottle from the ceiling. Currently the price is unknown but id suggest acting fast if you interested as these packages are typically only available for the holidays

True North Vodka has recently introduced a brand new Cherry-Infused Vodka. The company (based in Michigan) is actually located in the world’s largest cherry production region and incorporates their prized fruit into their super-premium vodka. The spirit itself is a rye-based vodka that incorporates glacial waters and a triple distillation process. In addition to the cherry-infused vodka, a hint of chocolate is added to give it an extra special touch as well. While the price is extremely reasonable at $29.99 the unfortunate part is that they are only currently available for purchase in Michigan

The Lil” Chill Shot

As some people know several years ago Jagermeister introduced a unique three bottle chiller to dispense ice cold shots at any time, unfortunately they are fairly expensive and sometimes difficult to locate. However this has all changed with the introduction of the Lil” Chill Shot, a single bottle chiller for you drunken needs. This machine allows for ice cold shots (up to 15*F) to be easily poured at anytime and features a hassle-free fill-and-pour system that virtually eliminates spills. The machine itself can handle up to a 750ml bottle and features a all stainless steel and ABS construction. Also included is a LED illumination system to showcase your bottle of choice. However the best part of the Lil’ Chill Shot is the price, only $129
