The Qua de L’Ile is a new brand of luxury – the impossible to counterfeit accessory. Given the commonality of knock-off brands in the global marketplace, this watch gives the conspicuous consumer the reassurance that no-one can spend less than $12,000 (US dollars) and be able to call this this timepiece their own. The Swiss luxury watchmaker Vacheron Constantine, purveyor of these impossible to replicate masterpieces, uses security features commonly found in currency like images that can only be revealed by ultraviolet light, minute inscriptions, and high security inks.
