Truly a marvel of modern technology, the Philips Cinema 21:9 high definition television is unlike anything the world has seen. Most new televisions on the market today are sporting a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. Philips’ new product smashes the competition with a whopping 21:9 aspect ratio offering a much higher resolution and more realistic images. The Cinema also has a built in feature to detect ambient light and adjust the brightness, contrast, and color saturation to provide the best possible performance in any room. Retailing at US $5,044, the new Philips Cinema is a must have for any television enthusiast.

Wow. I’d almost say that this is too wide, most of the latest HD/blu ray is filmed in 16:9 aspect ratio – but some offer “anamorphic widescreen” (2.35:1) Not sure how well the picture would fare, Looks interesting though.
