Honda CB1100F

January 17, 2008

Introduced during the Tokyo Auto Show last October this tribute to the classic CB400F of 1975-197 the Honda Cb110F has finally received production approval and should be hitting dealership floors in early 2009. Unfortunately not too much is known about exact specifications but it seems like it will feature a air cooled 1,100cc powerplant, 4-in-1 exhaust, twin shocks, and a tube frame. Pricing is currently unknown.

I’ve already inquired about the 2009 CB1100F at my local Honda dealership, and am ready to buy the first one they get in! I owned the Kawasaki W650, but it was too retro. Like a certain blonde, “this is just right”. However, the dealerships in my area don’t care about you when asking about a 2009, and instead will say, “I have a great 919 on the floor right now that I give you a good deal on!”. I continue to wait…

  3. Adam Gunderson

Sales people will always try and sell you something you dont want just to make a sale. I would say waiting is a good idea.

  4. Jim McN

Waiting for this bike would be zero hardship. The smoothest, most bullet proof motorcycle engine ever designed. The Honda inline 4. Of course the 747cc version was the ultimate expression of the design.

  5. FrankJ

If Honda prices this right, one will be in my garage.

  6. Stan Kolodny

    I will own one

  7. Canyon

Well, Honda “listened” again to its true consumers and decided the CB1100F wasn’t ready for America, and instead is sending us some piece of junk that looks like the loveless child from a moped and a motorcycle tryst. I hate Honda. I hate the motorcycle industry. Can someone get “it” right?

  8. Adam Gunderson

    I wouldn’t be caught dead on a Honda DN-01

  9. Andrew Gunderson

I refuse to acknowledge people who think this bike isnt teh ghey. I mean come on people really! This bike is puts the ghey back into ****!

  10. Andrew Gunderson

Furthermore if they decide to release one with front drum brakes I may be inclined to own one…

  11. Jim McN

Which one Andrew? I can’t believe you mean the CB.

Honda really needs to get its head out with bikes like the DN. Guys, like me, who grew up on CB series bikes are now the guys at an age where we have disposable income for expensive toys. The “Supersport” Hondas are where we came from and would go back to in a heart beat.

  12. Andrew Gunderson

Omg Jim your such an newbie. Let me guess, your mad honda updated their scooters so now you cant pick up other dudes? Let me ask you a question…. Why does honda suck (read:pre 2009 cbr1000rr)? Only a modfag of a newbie wouldnt know the answer and say this bike is sweet. As far as disposable income goes, sucking dudes off while trannys fart in your face for cash is wrong and I already reported you to the IRS. Jim obey the emperor (see:me)

    Thank you for your cooperation…
4 more years of a regime of terror in the USA!

  13. Andrew Gunderson

Im sorry I retract my previous statement about honda sucking a creampie out of a **** mans ass. They did make some pretty sweet goldwings in the 80′s. I only say this because I like drinking while I ride my motorcycles and the ZX14 kicked my ass many a times drunk. I have the scars and medical bills to prove it. Plus we all know a bike with a cup holder and stereo is all we really want.

    End of discussion

  14. Jim McN

Ok, so you are just an idiot.

  15. Andrew Gunderson

Jim come on now I didnt mean to hurt your feelings! Calling people names isnt going to help further your cause though lil buddy…

  16. Andrew Gunderson

Adam what are your thoughts about this hideous machine honda is once again trying to pass off as a motorcycle?

  17. Adam Gunderson

I like how it almost looks like a cafe racer.

  18. Andrew Gunderson

Maybe you and Jim should get a room! I still think this is one of the ugliest bikes besides the 2009 zx14 and pre 2008 busa.

  19. Adam Gunderson

The Honda DN-01 is the ugliest bike ever!

  20. Andrew Gunderson

WHAT!?!?!?! Please tell me your joking! I love riding bikes that make me look like a douchebag! Thats why I rode Renees ninja 650 for so long instead of fixing my zx14…

Tell your friend who bought the 650 I called him a smart man!

  21. Jim McN

Don’t worry yourself Andrew. No bigot ever born is capable of hurting my feelings.

  22. AndrewGunderson

Whats wrong jim? You too scared to post?

    HAHA 0wn3d biiiatch!

  23. AndrewGunderson

Seriously srs bsns here. This bike is weak, ****z weak!

  24. Jim McN

Mommy hasn’t taken away your computer privledges yet?

  25. AndrewGunderson

    HEY BUDDY!!!!

  26. AndrewGunderson

Jim are you still angry about us munging your dead mother? I told you to just relax she was already dead bro!

  27. Jdizzle

First off wow, that’s one of the most disturbing videos I have seen! Second, jim you need to learn to stand up for yourself. Andrew just azzraped you and all you can do is stick ur thumb in your ass and hop around like a bunny!

  28. AndrewGunderson

    “Jim McN Nov 15, 2008

Mommy hasn’t taken away your computer privledges yet?”

My mom can beat the living hell outta your mom. She used to be a gladiator! WHAT… WHAT NOW HOLD ME BACK, HOLD ME BACK!

  29. Canyon

    Gents,
I appreciate the humor, but can someone please tell Honda America they are idiots. A $14,000 “automatic” DN-01 will not sell. A sub-$10,000 2009 CB1100F is needed in the marketplace, whereas the DN-01 is something the marketplace will look at and say, “that’s a very expensive scooter dressed up like a motorcycle”. I don’t ride a motorcycle and wish I didn’t have to manually change gears. Just because technology allows you to do something, or in this case, not do something (shift gears), doesn’t mean you embrace it. I’m rambling. My point is BRING ME THE CB1100F AND STOP TRYING TO CREATE AND FILL A MARKET SEGMENT. CAPTURE THE ONE YOU’VE GOT, AND EXPLOIT IT WITH THE CB1100F NOW! Thank you.

  30. AndrewGunderson

    ^Not gonna happen buddy.

  31. AndrewGunderson

Okay so I just saw that honda is releasing this bike in the USA for 2010… Gentlemen start your fapping!

  32. Canyon

Andrew, thanks for the update – 2010 for the CB1100F sounds good. Hope they’ll give me a good trade-in value for this totally awesome DN-01 I picked up recently. Just like my Ronco Showtime Rotisserie, on the DN-01, or Dunce as we call it, you can adjust the throttle and “Set it and Forget it!”. Perfect ride every time!

  33. AndrewGunderson

Wait a second….You actually bought a DN-01? I thought those were just a internet joke? Why wouldnt you just get a norton or something of that phaggotry status?

Im sorry but come on now, a DN-01? Seriously?

  34. Canyon

My ex-wife is a hor. She gave me crabs before our divorce. This has no bearing on the current issue, but thought you should know. Also, my sarcasm didn’t come through well in that last post. I wouldn’t buy or ride a DN-01 unless it came with Marisa Miller in a bikini…no…wait…Marisa Miller…naked. If you hear any truths about CB1100F, please let us know. Thanks.

  35. Nick Cutry

Andrew – you answer your own posts? How many people are in there? Please, slowly back away from the keyboard.

BTW – the new one will look great next to the ’83 – I’ll just have to decide which to ride.

  36. AndrewGunderson

Canyon- Your cool, my hatred is only directed toward Nick and Jim for spreading phaggotry across the eboard.

    Yours truly,
    The Emperor Andrew

  37. Robert Arthur

The earlier post about Supersport Honda’s was spot on. The 1977 and ’80 cb750f Supersports were probably the best all-around motorcycles ever made. To replicate that experience now would be a great move for Honda, as the only choices now are the DN-01 (arghhhh), being bent over like a monkey ****ing a football, or copies of Harleys. If I wanted a Harley, I would buy one. To go fast, and sit straight up like a human being is what I want. Honda just don’t get it that how they nearly ran Harley out of business was with bikes like this.

  38. Cahn

Robert, your words are absolutely true, the CB750/900′s of the 70s/80s really did run Harleys out of business, not everyone wants to ride a sportsbike with full fairings, bent over like a monkey trying to touch its ass, Honda,Kawasaki,Triumph and Yamaha ought to get back to their beginnings and kill the useless, slow, noisy Harleys off the streets Once and for All!
