boardwalk-photo-booth

The Authentic Boardwalk Photo Booth ($11,000) is capable of taking a four-frame strip of pictures in 16 seconds. It used a thermal printer exclusively designed by Polaroid, so there is no ink or chemicals to replace (only paper). The photo booth comes with 2 rolls of film, enough for 3,200 photos.

Even though CDs have been around for over 25 years ton of cars are still equipped with cassette decks. Now you can add extra life to the dead format with the Bluetooth Cassette Tape Adapter ($40). Simply pair the adapter with your cell phone with the bluetooth headset profile, then pop it into your tape deck. It allows you can make hands free calls while driving. The only downside is that the bluetooth headset profile is the ONLY profile currently supported, A2DP would make this the ultimate cassette receiver. More pictures.

mercslrstirlingmoss_02

Unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, the 2009 Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Stirling Moss is the last car to be built under the Benz and McLaren partnership. Only 75 of these beautiful cars will be built, I’m sure most of them are spoken for. The Stirling Moss costs €750,000 (over $1,000,000)! It is powered by a 650-hp supercharged 5.5-liter V8 and a 5-speed automatic transmission. The car does NOT feature a roof or windscreen, however it is capable of doing speeds up to 217 mph and can reach 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. It does sport; “swing-wing” doors, an air brake, and a 2-piece tonneau cover that can cover just the passenger seat or the entire cockpit. I wonder what this car would cost once it becomes a collector. Photo Gallery and Press Release.

Defendius Door Chain

From the Art Lebedev Studios comes The Defendius, its a new take on the “door chain”. Designed to protect your home against unauthorized entry. I could see someone mastering this maze very quickly if they must use it every day. Hey Artemy, how about interchangeable mazes? More photos.

Portable Dishwasher by Danby

danby-portable-dishwasher-ddw1805

Danby DDW1805W is an eco-friendly dishwasher partly because it is so compact at only 18 inches wide (bigger than others). This dishwasher is ideal for apartments and small homes. It is even pretty quite at 55 dB, you could talk on the phone and watch TV while the dishes from the holiday dinner are getting washed. Pick one up for around $400. See a photo of the inside.

Louis Vuitton Bullet

This bullet was designed by the Australian firm 21.19 for Bita Hairdarian’s documentary Finding Bidi. I wonder if they can make these in 5.56 to light up the AR-15. [via]

Merry Christmas.

Zenvo has changed the world of supercars with their ST1. Denmark is the design capitol of the world and finally Danish design has conquered the realm of supercars. The Zenvo ST1 is powered by a 7 liter V8 engine that is both turbo and supercharged! The car pumps out 1,104 horses and has an electronically limited top speed of 233 mph. See the image gallery.

Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds

December 21, 2008
The Dual Screen Beast

The ThinkPad W700ds is the successor of the ThinkPad W700, only with another screen. The notebook itself features a WACOM digitizer built-in but more importantly it incorporates a secondary 10.6in LCD which works out really well for a tools and pallets.
You have a choice of Intel Core 2 Quad processors and NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700M GPU. With a max of 8 GB of RAM and 960 GB of SSD/HDD. The primary 17-inch screen is supposedly the brightest on the market. The W700ds starts at $3,600, and weighs 11 pounds. Start saving for this now because it will ship in January. (Unless the date shifts, as that is known to happen.)
