Mendis has announced that they have distilled world’s first clear ultra-premium brandy produced from coconut. The very first bottle is up for sale with a price tag of $1,000,000. It is a 100% all-natural clear brandy distilled from the essence of the coconut flower. The brandy is aged for a minimum of 2 years in Hamilla wood casks. Mendis has a subtle taste of coconut with a velvety sweet texture and unmatched smoothness. The product can be experienced neat or on the rocks and offers limitless options for mixing as a clear spirit. If you don’t have $1 million for spend on the first bottle, Mendis is holding a drawing for the 2nd bottle. There is no information on how much the rest of the bottles would cost, but my guess is that they will cost much less than the first one. The brandy will be available in Fall 2007.
