The Aquada has stunned many being the latest amphibian from Gibbs Technologies. “The Aquada is a revolutionary showcase of High Speed Amphibian (HSA) technology.” This vehicle allows the driver to experience the pleasure of an open top car, and the exhilaration of having a speedboat all in one. Operation of The Aquada is fairly simple; with the push of a button the wheels automatically rise, as soon as you press the gas, close to a tonne of thrust powers the Aquada onto the plane. The whole transition takes 12 seconds. Entry to the water is easily accessible, the car can enter via beach, boat ramp or directly from water’s edge. Once in the water The Aquada can reach speeds of over 30mph, which allows this boat to also tow water skiers. As the Aquada makes its exit from water, it can also hold its own on land. With 175 horse power and a v6 engine the Aquada can travel on road at speeds past 100mph. This new amphibian has run through extensive safety testing and complies with both marine and road safety regulations. All I hope is that sometime in the near future I will see more Amphibian type cars produced, and more options available to the market.Photos –
