Crown Royal XR Extra Rare Heritage Blend
June 14, 2007

Recently Crown Royal bottled their most expensive whiskey in company history to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s visit to the 2007 Kentucky Derby. The original Crown Royal Canadian Blended Whiskey was first made in 1939 for British royalty’s in celebration of their Grand Tour of Canada. As a tribute, Crown Royal created a new version of their signature product using the remaining barrels of the original whiskey created in 1939. The new whiskey is dubbed the Crown Royal XR Extra Rare Heritage Blend, unfortunately this new blend is so rare and expensive the whiskey is not for sale. (Speculated to cost $10,000 per bottle) In addition Crown Royal commissioned a master glass designer to create a custom glass bottle, featuring 24k gold leaf for lettering.
