Looking for some new glasses, especially for your bar? Alissia Melka-Telchroew just put out a new line of inside out glasses. “The shape of a drinking glass reflects its content: columnar flute for champagne, curvy goblet for wine, short shot glass for straight liquor, stout highball for cocktails.” These glasses are not only visually pleasing, but could potentially help keep the drinks cooler with the double wall. Lull Lamp
August 28, 2007
Lull is the new award winning product made for Giform 2007, a design competition in Norway. This lamp is different from all others because of its ability to open and close in morning and night. The Lull lamp not only looks like a flower, but also opens and closes like one. At night this lamp gives off a soft glow, while it slowly turns itself off; meanwhile in the morning, the lamp slowly opens itself increasing the light intensity slowly for a pleasurable awakening.
Swamp Furniture
August 28, 2007
Ever heard of color changing furniture? Didn’t think so. Erin Hayne and Nuno Gonaçlves Ferreira of Visual Reference Studio just finished their first line of thermochromatic furniture. This collection includes stools and benches that change color when touched. This furniture is made possible by color changing crystals that respond to heat, so when sat on or touched by a body part an imprint will be left until the piece cools down. There is a choice of black furniture that turns blue, or red that turns violet; but the temperature varieties also lets you get different shades of the color. This collection was created with the thought of the flora and fauna of the Mississippi cypress swamp, where their studio is located.
Cells Cellular Phone
August 28, 2007
Cell phones have become a part of everyday life for most people. This phone was designed by Timo Wong, with the idea of fruit trays in mind. The number keys unlike every other phone are not separated by straight lines, but by alternating contours on one single surface. This design gives a different twist on something we touch and hold everyday, a cell phone.
Knoop by Josh Urso
August 28, 2007
Everyone is always looking for an ‘interesting’ piece of furniture. Josh Urso has created a new line of coffee tables that I’m sure could be a conversation starter. Made from a 1200 foot spool of rope that is said to be 5 times stronger than steel he created his new line Knoop, dutch for knot. The spool of rope becomes the base for these coffee tables, and it sure does look great.

Home Brewing System
August 27, 2007
The image above looks like a DIY drug lab but its not (unless you consider alcohol a drug). The Home Brewing System does everything from boiling concentrated wort to pouring a nice cold glass of beer. Future plans are to include a third cart to convert raw grain to wort. The brewing process takes about 3 months and costs $4,315 for the Home Brewing System. Depending on how much you drink this thing could pay for itself. [via] More Pictures and a Video.
