eMac Rumor, Intel powers Mac’s lower end computers

First of all i would like to thank Engadget for giving us a rather good looking mock-up of the new upcoming eMac. Although not much information is available for the new Mac but what seems to be certain will be the switch to a LCD monitor and hopefully will be powered be a Intel dual core processor as well. The buzz surrounding the new Mac seems to be the idea of introducing it in time for the Fall 2006 school year. Given a price that should center around $799-$999 it seems like the new eMac might be fairly popular with students

SmackBook Pro, Damn Cool

As everyone knows the new MacBook Pro’s use a nice motion sensor for its iSight software and various other applications but the coolest is a mod out there is a feature that allows you too switch desktops with just a little tap. This mod alone makes me want to purchase a MacBook Pro (the fact that its one of the fastest laptops out there also help a lil too)

HD DVD for Xbox 360 rumored $100

hddvd1.jpg

It looks like Microsoft is finally fighting back agianst Sony and its Blu-Ray PS3, Looks like some pictures have surfaced showing the upcoming EXTERNAL drive for the Xbox 360. While i’m happy Xbox 360 will soon have HD DVD support i wonder what exactly type of connection its will use, last time i checked HDMI and DVI were absent from the Xbox 360. Also if you are listening Microsoft, the idea of using an external drive to play games seems counter productive, why not save money and put it in the rig itself, seems to me like we are just getting screwed out of our money pretty hard. However the price for the external drive seems to be around the $100 price point, making it at least an affordable option

Meizu PMP, IPod type clone takes quality to next level

Meizu just announced a new PMP into the market that has some striking features that resemble several of apply designs. However the beauty does pack a decent amount of features including, up to 4GB of memory, a 2.4″ screen, a microphone plug for voice recording, FM support of some kind, USB support and MP3/WAV/OGG/WMA for audio, and Xvid for video. Its battery life isn’t to bad either allowing for 20 hours of battery life for audio and 6 for video.

Apple really needs to pump out their IPod Video soon if they ever want to be a competitive force in the PMP world
